A 61 year old man, one Eke Kanu has been arrested by the Lagos Police Command for impregnating his 19year old daughter and forcing her to have abortion.
Spokesperson of the state’s police command, Bola Elkana disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday.
Elkana , a Deputy Superintendent of Police said the Ikorodu Police Station received a complaint from a member of FIDA, a non governmental organisation and Umbrella body of female lawyers that one Eke Kanu, 61 years old of Ebute road, lgbogbo was having unlawful sexual relationship with his 19year old daughter without her consent and impregnated her.
He said the girl complained that the father started abusing her since she was a little girl and threatened to deal with her if she told anyone.
The girl further said that when her father discovered that She was pregnant, he took her to a chemist where she was given injections and some drugs to abort the pregnancy.
The police spokesperson said.the girl was taken to a Health centre for medical attention and forensic examination.
