The Managing director of the Federal Airports Authority, Capt Rabiu Yadudu has said that the Airports are ready for operation with no fewer than 90 percent of its workforce trained in accordance with guidelines on covid-19.
Stakeholders are divided in opinion on the planned resumption.
Many are alarmed by the resumption amid the rising cases of coronavirus in the country. Others, however, said that the Aviation sector is the worst hit by the coronavirus as the continued grounding of activities would impact negatively on the economy.
Opinion poll conducted by Current Matters revealed a downward trend amongst frequent flyers.
While about 97 percent do not care whether the Airports open for domestic flights or not, about 3 percent expressed willingness to fly.
