Six fraudsters popularly known as yahoo boys have been sentenced to prison by the Federal High Court in Ibadan for fraudulent offences.
In addition to the prison sentence, they were ordered to pay back to their victims through the Federal government the sums of money they defrauded as well as forfeit all items recovered from them.
The conviction of the fraudsters was secured by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC on Monday., June 29.
While 5 of the convicts, Josiah Olafuyi, Salam Abubakar, Blessing Opeyemi, Omoyajawo, Bolaji John Alegbe and Olawale Ayomide Abdulaliyu wee convicted by A federal High Court in Ibadan presided by Justice Patricia Ajoku, the 6th convict Aremu Oluwatosin Akindele was sentenced by a Federal High Court in Abuja by Justice Mohammed Abubakar.
The convicts were given sentences ranging from 3 months to 11 months.
