14 out of 26 members of the Ondo House of Assembly have served impeachment notice that seeks to sack the Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi.
Nine Members blacked out of the impeachment notice saying they do not see the need to impeach the Deputy Governor as he did nothing wrong but exercising his right by defecting to another political party.
The House of Assembly requires one third of his Members to move a motion of impeachment and two third consent to impeach the Deputy Governor.
With the 9 members not involved in the impeachment, and impeachment notice served, another stage is set for how events at the State House of Assembly will unfold.
The Deputy Governor Ajayi has already gone to court to stop the lawmakers from carrying out their threat.
Ajayi had been in unpleasant relationship with his boss of recent as he was said to be eyeing thesthe office as his boss in the forth coning governorship elections in the state.
In a bid to actualise his aspiration,he defected to the Peoples Democratic party PDP in June to slug it out with his estranged boss and governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.
