Wives of police officers said to be attached to the Special Force went to the street on Tuesday along Niger- Lokoja high way to protest neglect of the Federal Government to the plight of their husbands.
The women also condemned the non fulfilment of numerous promises made to some of their husbands who lost their lives in active service
According to the women, the barracks they live in is so disgusting as it lacked basic amenities such as hospitals and schools
A spokeswoman for the protesting women,Benedicta Enyi told newsmen how their husbands were being killed daily with no officia
communication from the authorities and no one cared how their families were doing.
She said that their husbands were taken to sambisa, Zamfara and Katsina and many of them did not return.
The obviously depressed women said they want to see the Inspector General of Police and would only leave when they get answers and solutions to their problems.
