The Katsina state police command has said that the exploration that occurred on Saturday afternoon was caused by a grenade in a farm in Yammama village in Malumfashi local government area of Katsina state.
The State Police spokes person,,Adamu Isa said the explosion occurred after the children picked up the grenade and were fiddling with it in a farm
The explosion claimed the lives of five children from the same family while six others were seriously wounded
Meantime Detectives from the EOD and the CID have been deployed to the area to conduct further investigation of the incident.
