The Nigerian Army has arrested a soldier who allegedly opened fire on his colleague, Lieutenant Babakaka Shehu Ngorgi in Bama, Borno State.
In a press release signed by the Acting Director, Army Public Relations,Colonel Sagir Musa and distributed across the Army Social Media outlets, Sagir said the ugly incidence occurred at about 10,30am on Wednesday,29th July at the unit headquarters when the depressed soldier opened fire on the deceased who was making a phone call.
It was learnt that as soon as the suspect killed his colleague, he was heard chanting that he had achieved his aim.
The Army spokesman however expressed condolences to the family on behalf of the Army adding that the Army has launched investigation into the matter to determine the circumstances that led to the unfortunate incident.
