Seven Women were found dead in a beauty salon in the Rijau Local Government Area of Niger State on Thursday.
According to the Spokesman of the State Police Command,Wasiu Abiodun, the Women,two married and five single,had gone to the salon to make their hair in preparation for Sallah Celebration when they met their untimely death.
It was gathered that the woman died from fumes they inhaled from the generator that was used in the salon,The area was said to have experienced a heavy downpour on the fateful day which affected power supply to the salon,and in order to continue servicing her customers, the owner of the salon brought the generator into the salon and closed the door.The women inhaled the fumes whiich choked five of them to death on the spot ,while two were rushed to the hospital where they died.
The Police Spokesman said their remains have been released to their families for burial and investigations into the incident have begun.
