The incident that rocked Edo Legislature On Thursday drew the attention and ire of women in Edo State who stormed the Assembly in a bid to help prevent any untoward circumstances.
Among the women were a group of occultists who go by the name,Ekutetebite Negeogho ,they dressed elegantly but did not betrayi whatever their mission was at the Assembly complex.
Their leader, Inibokun Imasemwenbor trained curses on opponents of the governor boasting that Obaseki will be re-elected as whatever she pronounced comes to pass.
She said that Obaseki had taken governance to another level which appeared impossible in the past.as his government has provided. a lot ranging from Infrastructures to providing opportunities that create wealth for the people of the state.
She said” I was at home when I saw on television the crisis at the Edo Assembly.Iheard that some people from other ethnic groups are trying to turn Benin upside down.We Benin people don’t like what they are doing.”
“APC is oppressing Obaseki, why Iam interested in the matter is that we did not have sn access road to my community before Obaseki became governor.We so much to come to Benin.But now,we can travel in and out of our community.We dont suffer from erosion anymore.”
” For that reason, I must support Obaseki for a second term.Whoevrer says he will turn the state upside down to rig the election,let the hands of our ancestors torment him.’
She described the governor as a peacemaker who gave the Edo people amenities and sense of belonging.
