A man popularly known as”The Tallest” in Odoh-Owambe Community in Beebo Clan Boki Local Government Area of Cross Rivers State has killed his 25 old son for refusing to buy him a bottle of beer.
Reports say that trouble started when the Man met his son,Agbor Henry, drinking in a beer parlour and asked him to buy him a drink The son refused and asked him if he just remembered that he was his son.
It was learnt that the deceased who was the community”d youth leader,iwas the son of his father’s late lover who died in a car accident some years ago.
He was said to have moved to the village after his mother’s death to live with his father who he claimed was not responsible.
The request for a drink subsequently led to the point of the son fighting his father.This made the Youths in the community tie him up and demanded a fine for trying to fight his father, but the father pleaded on his behalf and he was released.
However, the fight continued when they got home, but this time there was nobody to separate them.
The deceased brought out a gun, and the father did the same but while the son was trying to approach his father, the father shot him.
The father on seeing his son’s corpse, went into hiding in the community forest but was eventually caught and handed over to the police in Bateriko .
The last son of the man was shot to have been shot to death by armed robbers and his burial was to be buried that same day.
