Governor of Rivers State,Nyesom Wike ,has said that the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress ,APC,i,n the forth coming governorship election in Edo State, Pastor Osagie Ize-iyamu, will not win the election following his lack of support base of the Edo people and the Progressives Governors because of Adams Oshiomole, former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC,
This is “Because Adams Oshiomole has already killed him with all the things he had said against him before which have not been denied.”
Wike who spoke on live Television o Tuesday revealed that the Edo APC is planning violence that would lead to suspension of the election and cause constitutional crisis said the PDP has advantage over the APC in terms of causing violence, but because the governor has done well and will continue to do well,,there was no need to cause violence.
“Who is in a position to cause violence? We have an advantage.We have a seating governor who has done well and will continue to do well.So why do we need to cause violence”
According to him, the APC Is desperate to take over power saying” If you watch that video where Ize-iyamu told those he called” Lions and Tigers”of Edo to move from unit to unit, you will understand the level of violence they are planning”
The governor said the desperation had forced the former governor and national chairman of the APC ,to prostrate before traditional rulers and wondered why his candidate ,Ize-iyamu ,did not do the same.
” You see, he is using such pretence to get what he wants.He is so desperate that he is doing everything to secure his political future since he is no longer relevant at the national level.”
Wike who quoted Oshiomole as saying that people knew him wherever he goes because he fought godfatherism averred “That is also why today, people want to fight godfatherism.”
” Edo people are saying that after joining him to fight godfatherism yesterday,they will not allow him to become another godfather”restating that character will be the ultimate decider in the election
