The corpse of a 55 year old woman was discovered on Wednesday in Okuku,Odo-Otin Local Government Area of Osun State.
It was learnt that the body of the deceased ,identified as Oluwatoyin Afolabi was discovered by her neighbours slaughtered in the early hours of the morning.
On discovery of the death, some neighbours fled their homes in order to avoid being apprehended by the police.
The State Police Public Relations Officer,Yemisi Opalola stated that the woman’s body was discovered at about 6 am slaughtered.after a report from a resident of the town.
She said the body has been deposited at a mortuary in a private hospital pending when the Investigation team visit the area.
The State Police Commissioner,Undie Adie is said to have directed immediate commencement of investigation into the matter to unravel the mystery behind the killing of the woman.
