The body of a three year old girl,Seyi Jebose,who fell into a well at her residence,1 Gemini Bus stop, Baruwa, Lagos on Saturday evening has been recovered by men of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency LASEMA and Fire Service.
Reports indicate that Seyi fell through the rusty cover of the well while playing without the adults noticing the incident.
The body was later discovered in the well by a search party that was raised after her parents declared her missing.
LASEMA Director General,Dr Femi Oke-Osanyintolu who confirmed the incident to newsmen said that the little girl fell through the rusty cover if the well while playing in the compound where she lived with her parents.
He said” With the combined efforts of LASEMA, Lagos State Fire Service and NPF Alagolo Division, the girl was brought out of the well and rushed to Solad Hospital, Maria Street, Baruwa Ipaja, where she was confirmed dead on arrival.”
According to him, the body has been handed over to the family members and the police officers from Alagolo Police Station.
