Adebayo Bamidele,a clergyman, on Tuesday,prayed a Customary Court sitting in Ibadan,Oyo State, that his estranged wife was ruining his spiritual calling.
According to him,She made damaging allegations against him before members of his congregation which made the members to leave the church.
Bamidele told the court that he was beaten up by some members of the church to the point that he almost died because of his wife,Felicia’s allegations which impugned on his integrity.
” Felicia told them that I was using black magic and charms to take away their glory.They beat me mercilessly,tore my clothes.i almost died”.
He said”She now claims to own the church.The truth is that we contributed resources to build the church, l have lost my means of sustenance to her evil antcs against me”
Felicia while consenting to the suit to dissolve the marriage said ,she funded the take off of the church with the sum of N340,000 therefore” he must return my part of the investment.”
She accused the Pastor of having extra marital affairs with a widow adding” they already live together”
Felicia said her husband had been manipulating her spiritually and physically with charms without her knowing until recently.
” Sometimes he gives me charms to put under my pillow at night,I saw that my life was no longer the same,” she said.
The President of the court,Ademola Odunade dissolved the marriage on the grounds that the couple were not prepared to give peace a chance.
