Flood water from a heavy rainfall in Lagos on Saturday evening took two children along with it.
The incident according to eye witness, occurred at about 8,00 on at Oyebanjo Street Ketu.
The original destination of the children prior to the incident was not known as they were said to be swept away by the flood suddenly.
The area is said to be flood prone and water current was high thus making it impossible for residents to trace the water channel.
A joint team of search and rescue operation including Lagos Fire Service, and Lagos Ambulance service as well as Tiger team of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency LASEMA ,were at the scene of the incident however, LASEMA Director General, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu said initial observation revealed a slopping topography with a direct channel of drain water into the canal making navigation very challenging.
He therefore called on the general public particularly those with children to be extremely cautions of flood prone areas.
