Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank,Dr Obadiah Mailafia has said he has become the voice of the voiceless in the country.
Mailafia who spoke shortly after honouring an invitation of the Department of State Security DSS in Jos on Monday, said he has been receiving messages of support from very distinguished Nigerians across ethnic and religious divides.
He said” I have received messages from very distinguished moslem cleric including Sheik Dahiru Bauchi he sent messages to tell me that he is been praying for me.
Moslem youths have stood beside me, they have prayed with me.They believe that iam their voice.
” Christian Youths have stood with me,they believe that I am their voice.There are so many people, thousands have already died. Wonen, children,youths, elderly,they have no voice. I have become the voice of the martyr. he said.
Monday’s invitation would be the third time Mailafia would appear at the DSS Office in Jos to answer questions on his comments on security in the country.
The former CBN governor had disclosed through a radio interview that a northern governor was a key sponsor of Boko Haram terrorists.
According to him,a repentant bandit he met had informed him about the development.
