A man who is believed to be about 25 years old has been found dead in a river at Zangon Buhari in Bunkere Local Government Area of Kano on Tuesday.
The deceased was said to have gone to bathe in the river when he drowned.
The Public Relations Officer,Kano State Fire Service,Saidu Mohammed, said the Agency received a distress call from Zangon Buhari in Bunkere Local Government Area at 06:30am hours, and in response to the call a rescue team of the Fire Service with equipments were deployed to the scene of the incident where they discovered that it was a man in his twenties that had drowned in the pond .
According to him, the man was pulled out unconscious and was confirmed dead ,adding his corpse was handed over to the ward head of Zangon Buhari on behalf of his family .
