The Federal Government has included Emirates Airlines in the list of airlines not approved to operate in the country.
The Minister of Aviation,Hadi Sariki disclosed this in his Twitter handle on Friday.
Sariki said the decision was taken after a meeting between the members of the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 and European Union Ambassadors to discuss their ban.
According to him, the ban will take effect from Monday, September 21 2020.

Other Airlines disallowed to commence operation are Air France, Lufthansa,KLM,RwandAir, Air Namibia,Royal Air Maroc,TAAG Angola Airlines and Etihad.
Though the minister did not disclose the reason for the ban of Emirates Airlines,it was gathered that it might be connected to reports of positive covid-19 cases linked to International travellers .
