The Federal Government has announced the deportation of nineteen foreign nationals for various offences including the violation of entry conditions and Petroleum related offences.
They are a French national,10 Egyptians 7 Srilankans and an Indian.
A statement issued by the Spokesperson of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIM) ,Sunday James, on Friday, said that the deportation order was signed by the Minister of Interior,Rauf Aregbesola ,in accordance with section 45 subsection (2) section 46 subsection (1) and section 47subsection(1) of the Immigration Act of 2015.
The statement said the French national Ali Mahamat ,was deported to France for engaging in activities capable of undermining the security of a friendly neihbouring country in Maiduguri,Borno State while Kasinayhan Ramaswamy, was found working as a shop attendant. In Kano and was deported to India .
The statement said 10 Egyptians were being deported for violating conditions of entry into the country, while 7 Srilankans who were jailed for Petroleum products related offences after serving their jail terms were ordered by the courts to be deported to their country
The Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede, directed that all migrants should fully comply with the laws guiding their residence and entry.
