FG begins work on bad sections of Lokoja.- Okene road
The Federal Government has commenced the rehabilitation of 5.7 km Lokoja-Okene highway in Kogi State following the fatal tanker accident which occurred last Wednesday morning.
A trailer laden with premium motor spirit(petrol) reportedly collided with a Tricycle and lost control of the vehicle making it to crash into other vehicles and exploded.

The rehabilitation of the 5.7 km road was the result of a meeting between the Minister of Works and the Kogi State governor Yahaya Bello after the incident
Work started last week and is scheduled to be completed before the end of November.
The Site Engineer of the construction firm handling the project, AcIf Kara told newsmen that work commenced last Thursday, a day after the tanker incident occurred and they have already gone far.
According to him, “We have completed 2km already from the 5.7 km and hopefully we will finish this work by end of November.”
