US President,Trump laden with coronavirus, bounces back to White House
The United States President on Monday evening found his way back to the White House after his tweets that he was well and would be returning to the seat of power.
Trump was diagnosed with coronavirus on Friday and was airlifted to the Walter Reed Military Medical Hospital, in Bethesda, Maryland after developing symptoms of covid-19.
He was given steroids and Remdesivir for the 3 days he was hospitalized.
His Physician,Sean Conley, said he would complete the remaining dosage at the White House within the week.
Trump had earlier taken a tour of the city of Bethesda MD,a development that was widely criticised.
The American President was lambasted for being insensitive to the lives of people around him and deliberately playing down the seriousness of the pandemic.
His rush to the White House was also seen as an attempt to further spread the virus as well as compound the health crisis in the White House.
Two days ago, his doctor had addressed a press conference where he told a gathering of White House reporters that the President was not out of the woods yet and the medical team was watching the health situation with cautious optimism.
Twenty four hours later, his physician ,Conley while addressing reporters said the president was well and fit to go home.
The president in his usual manner staged a comeback to the White House and walked through the stairway in casual bravado ,touching the side rails with his bare hands for support before taking off his face masks for photos in the White House balcony
The United States has over 209,000 Covid-19 deaths and more than 7 million cases of infection making the country the highest in the number of deaths and cases.
Reports indicate that cases of coronavirus are surging in major states in the US with governnors going for a second lockdown
