The Federal Executive Council FEC ,on Wednesday, approved the sum of N1.28billion for the purchase installation, testing and commissioning of security equipment at the seven railway stations along Abuja-Kaduna -Kano lines
The Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, disclosed this to State House Correspondents while briefing them on the outcome of the meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Amaechi who addressed the correspondents along with the Ministers of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed, Communications,Isah Plantami, Power, Saleh Mamman and the Director General ,Bureau of Public Enterprises,Ahmadu Mamman, said the installation of security equipment which will cover the stations namely ,Idu, Rigasa, Jere, Kubwa, Kaduna and Kano will be completed within a period of 12 months.
