IPOB provokes Benue community,hoists Biafran flags
Members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have reportedly hoisted Biafran flags in strategic areas of Ekele village in Ado Local Government Area of Benue State.
Current matters gathered that the Benue community shares boundary with Ebonyi and hosts a good number of indigenes of that state. Both border communites have always been at war
A former Chairman of Ado Local Government Area,Otise Otokpa is quoted as saying ” This is about the third time it is happening
” In 2014/2015 even that time apart from hoisting their flag they also wrote on logs of wood and on footpath declaring Biafran Territory.
According to him, IPOB members also built a house in the community which they used for recruiting and training for MASSOB men and the DSS who were informed of their activities moved in and dislodged them.
The current Chairman of the council is said to have gone to the community with some soldiers to remove the Biafran flags
