Former Vice President and Democratic Party candidate of the November 3 elections has been elected the 46 th president of the United States of America.
Biden’s election follows his overperformance in the election which made him to clinch Presidency having received 273 electoral votes out of the required 270 votes in the common wealth state of Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon.
Before he was announced President-elect,Biden was leading in key swing states of Arizona,Nevada, Georgia and Pennsylvania.
Meanwhile the President-elect,Biden has reacted to news of his emergence in a statement from his home in Wilmington Delaware .on Twitter.He said”
America ! Iam honoured that you have chosen me to lead our great country. The work ahead of us will be hard ,but I promise you this,I will be president for all Americans whether you voted for me or not.I will keep the faith that you have placed in me.

Biden is expected to address the nation later today to reassure the people of his electioneering campaign promises which dwell on healing and uniting a divided nation and raise their hopes on mitigating the coronavirus disease which has become a thorn in the nation’s flesh.
The President-elect will use his goodwill and his terms in the Senate to negotiate with a Republican controlled Senate should there be no window of the democrats having a majority in the upper chamber.
Already major cities such as Biden’s birth state Pennsylvania, New york, Washington DC are agog as mamoth crowd take to the streets to celebrate the victory.
The election is historic as Vice President-elect, Senator Kamala Harris becomes the first woman and first Black and first South Asian to become VP-elect.
Biden was 30years today in retrospect when he was first elected to the US Senate in 1972. His election at age 77 has also made him to be the oldest President-elect in the history of the United States.
As tradition demands,World leaders would send messages of felicity to the President-elect of the most powerful country who has left no one in doubt of clearing the Augean mess of his predecessor in office.
His predecessor has said he would not accept Biden’s election as he is set to commence legal action against the process on Monday.
