Leaders of the South East geopolitical zone comprising Governors, Members of the National Assembly and Socio-Cultural groups have listed a number of demands from the Federal Government.
Some of the demands include development of the region,state creation and and 2023 Presidency.
Speaking during a meeting in Enugu with a Federal Government delegation headed by the Chief of Staff to the President,Prof Ibrahim Gambari and included the Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu, and Information and Culture Minister,Lai Mohammed urged the president to look into the various demands of stakeholders of the region for development, peace and security of the nation.
The South East position aptly captured by Ohaneze- Ndigbo’s President General,John Nwodo requested for the setting up of a South East Development Commission, creation of two more states and zoning the 2023 Presidency to the South East region to promote national unity.
