President-elect of the United States of America,Joe Biden continued his lead with a win in the Republican state of Georgia on Friday, November 13,2020.
Yesterday ,the election in Arizona was also decided in his favour.
By winning Georgia,Biden has reached the pinnacle of victory at the just concluded polls earning 306 electoral votes to beat his Republican challenger and incumbent President, Donald Trump who got 232.
He was 273,a little above the 270 threshold on Saturday ,November 7,2020, when his emergence was announced by the media .He then progressed to 279 when he won Nevada, Arizona raised his electoral votes to 290 and winning Georgia raised it to 306 thus putting him at par with his challenger who had the same votes in 2016
Biden also had the most popular votes of 77,976,682 against Trump’s 72,.657,553 with representing over 5 million vote margin
Trump has yet to concede defeat and had gone ahead to frustrate the transition process on the basis of unfounded allegations of electoral fraud.
