The Cross Rivers State Police Command has announced a dawn to dusk curfew on five local government areas of the state affected by the Cross Rivers State Northern Senatorial/State House of Assembly Byelections slated for December 5,2020.
The State Commissioner of ,Abdulkadir Jimoh, in a statement said the development was part of efforts to check criminalities.
According to him, the ban will be between the period of 6am to 6pm on election day, except those on essential duties who must bear their identity tags .
He warned that any act that caused breach of peace during and after the elections wouldl be decisively dealth with in line with the laws of the land and advised the political class and electorates to go about their lawful businesses.
