A house mistress of San Francesco Catholic College,Ejigbo,Osun State has been remanded in Ilesa correctional Center by a Magistrate Court for assaulting students of the school.
The 37 year-old suspect,Christiana Ayeni, unlawfully assaulted her victims Mariam Ishmael (18) Martha Alfa (15) Adefehintoluwa Adeusi (15) and Raphael Olamide (14) by touching their private parts.
Ayeni was said to have committed the offence on March 21,2018 within the hostel area of the school.an offence the Police Prosecutor, Elisha Olusegun said is contravened Section 360 of the Criminal Code,Cap 34,Vol 11 ,Laws of Osun State 2002
The suspect pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against her and Defence Counsel,Oladipupo Olatubosun prayed the court to release her on bail.
But the prosecuting counsel Olusegun, opposed the bail application on ground that she might jump bail
Thereafter, the Magistrate,Modupe Awodele,ordered the remand of the suspect in Ilesa correctional center and transferred the case to Ejigbo Chief Magistrate’s Court for mentioning on December 21,2020.
