
Chinese expatriate , Nigerian killed in clash over Osun mining sites
Two persons have been killed and another two injured during a clash over a mining site in Osun State
Those killed are a Chinese national,Kuang Zhang and a Hausa miner, Abdullahi Musa
Current matters gathered that another chinese expatriate was beaten to coma during the clash while a second Hausa miner sustained gunshot wound.
The two sides had reportedly laid claim to a mining site in Idoko village,Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State
Trouble reportedly broke when a team of Chinese miners arrived the mining site with security operatives comprising the Civil Defence Corps and the Police to stop the Hausa men from mining on the site
The Chinese expatriates claimed that the site was licensed to them by the Federal Government and the Osun State governmentt while Hausamen on their part, argued that they have been mining on the site for a long time and refused to leave the site
The argument was said to have resulted in the fracas that claimed the lives of two miners.
The injured miners are said to be receiving treatment at the Wesley Guild Hospital,Ilesa while the corpses were also deposited at the same hospital.
The Osun State Police Command has confirmed the incident and said that policemen have been deployed to the site to forestall reoccurrence of the crisis
