The Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District Rochas Anayo Okorocha has called for integration of likeminds from the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and the All Progressives Congress APC to accelerate the level of progress in the country.
Okorocha , a former governor of Imo state disclosed this on Monday, while speaking as Special Guest at the commissioning of the Rumueche- Rumuakunde- Ohna- Awuse Road in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State
Okorocha who said he was in Port Harcourt on grounds of his friendship with the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike called on the people of the South East and South-South to synergize in view of the similarities in culture .
The former governor noted that there are good people and bad people both in APC and PDP and urged the alliance of like minds from the two poltical parties to make a difference .
Okorocha’s speech however attracted comments from Nigerians some of who, think the Senator merely used the forum to either discreetly launch a new poltical party or perfecting a possible defection tactic to the opposition party.
Some quickly reminded the Senator of his time in Government House Owerri, how he allegedly, forcefully, acquire governmentt Lands for his personal use and also his perchant for nepotism saying what the Senator should do at the moment is to go on retreat and ponder on Imo State under him before finding new poltical logic.
Earlier, Governor Wike had told his distinguished guests comprising national and locals of his determination to develop the state including completing projects awarded by his predecessor
He chided poltical opponents in Emohua for doing nothing to improve the lives of the people and spited those who criticise his government saying they will remain perpetually blind since they claim to see nothing he has done .
