The US National Guard has asked people to stop trying to donate to it after people moved by photos of troops sleeping on bare floor of the Capitol Hill tried to make donations.
In a statement , the military said that the troops sleeping on the floor does not suggest they do not have good quarters or needed help from the public
It said while it appreciates the many offers and people who care about its soldiers and airmen,it is logistically unable to accept donations of any kind.
Over 20,000 troops are reportedly at the Capitol Hill to forestall a repeat of the insurrection of January 6.as the US moves an inch closer to inauguration of a new President.
