The University of Jos has authorized the consumption of a herbal tea for the prevention of Covid-19.
The” home made herbal remedy “was reportedly developed in 2020 by the UNIJOS Africa Centre of Excellence in phytomedicine Research and Development.
But the National Agency For Food and Drugs Administration (NAFDAC has said that it has not approved any preventive medicine for use.
NAFDAC’s Director General,Prof.Moji Adeyeye asked Nigerians on Friday to ignore the use of drugs that were yet to receive the Agency’s approval.
Adeyeye disclosed of fake vaccines in the country and warned that fake vaccines could cause covid illnesses and other serious health challenges that could kill.
Current matters gathered that the final approval of the tea had not been given as what was announced by UNIJOS was pre-conditonal.
