The incoming President of the United States ,Joe Biden ,plans to sign executive orders rejoining the Paris Climate Accord and rescinding travel ban on Muslim countries on inauguration day.
The President- elect will also sign orders putting on hold student loans payment and evictions during the coronavirus pandemic as well as direct mandatory mask use on all federal properties to stem the surge of coronavirus.
Biden had in his electioneering campaign said he would rejoin the Paris Climate Accord as soon as he assumed office. He also said his administration would employ scientific means in fighting the covid-19 .
To contain the spread of the virus, Biden had announced the roll out of 100 million vaccinations in 100 days in office and has proposed $1.9trillion stimulus relief for people impacted by Covid-19.
The President-elect also plans to offer citizenship to about eleven nikki undocumented immigrants currently in the United States.
Biden’s plan is a clean break from that of his predecessor, Donald John Trump whose tenure expires on January 20,2021.
