The Plateau state Chapter of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), has raised alarm over the killing of seven herdsmen and hundreds of cows in two separate attacks on Tuesday, in Maiyanga village of Kwali District in Bassa Local Government Area of the state
The Chairman of the Association,Malam Nura Abdullahi, who disclosed this to newsmen on Thursday in Jos said five persons were killed in the recent attack on Tuesday this week while another missing with several matchete injuries inflicted on survivors by the assailants .
According to him, the first attack occurred on Tuesday last week when two herders rearing their cows were suddenly attacked and killed in the same community which made them to report the matter to the police and Operation Safe Haven (OSF). who assured them of bringing perpetrators to book .
He said the remains of the victims have been recovered with the support of the OSH and the police and have been handed over to them for burial.
The State Police Command has reportedly commenced Investigation into the matter
