Clark recovers from Covid-19,asks Buhari to order arrest of Yayaha.Bello over false claims
Elder statesman,Chief Edwin Clark has asked the Federal Government to sanction the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello over claims that coronavirus is not real.
Clark who disclosed his personal experience with Covid-19 to newsmen on Wednesday, in his home town, Kiagbodo Delta State, that Bello should be sanctioned for peddling lies about the virus.
Bello had described the Covid-19 pandemic as an advancement of malaria,a political gimmick directed towards shifting public interest from governmentt priorities to marketing the virus and had initially disallowed the NCDC to observe Covid-19 protocols in relation with containment in the state.
He wondered how Bello” who is parading self that he wants to be President of Nigeria “could do such thing. saying” it’s all nonsense.Some of them feel because they are very close to Mr President,they can do anything”
The leader of Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) said he was treated for 14 days before subsequent tests carried out by the Nigeriia Center for Disease Control( NCDC) returned negative
According to him, he contracted the disease after his niece who visited his Abuja residence from Warri, became very ill and tested positive for coronavirus.
“Sometime last month, I got a call from one of my nieces that she was coming from Warri.I told her that you people in Warrri don’t observe Covid-19 protocols very well and I said she should stay in my guest house.
” On the third day she became very ill. She was very weak, coughing and that she has malaria. I directed that she should be taken to my clinic, Because she was coughing, the doctor said she should go for a covid test.
” The following day, Friday, the Health Minister sent doctors and 24 of us in the house were tested and on Saturday, the result came and nine of us tested positive.”
Clark said he and the rest were evacuated to an isolation centre where doctors took care of them
The one time Minister of Information said his staff and siblings who tested positive have also recovered adding that his 14- day isolation and treatment period was a” terrible experience”
