The Federal Capital Territory( FCT) Police Command, said it has repelled a 4- man armed robbery gang attack after dispossessing their victims of their possessions in Gwarimpa,Abuja.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mariam Yusuf disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, in Abuja.
Yusuf said the incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday at 7th Avenue, Gwarimpa Estate,Abuja.
The Police Spokesperson said two members of the gang were killed while trying to escape with the stolen items adding that the others fled.
She said all the stolen items, including computer gadgets, mobile phones and a huge sum of money were recovered by police operatives.
The PPRO revealed that a notorious gang of armed robbers on Tuesday, aldo attacked and stole the belonging of a resident at Apo- Dutse,
According to her, the robbers shot the resident dead leaving his security guard who is currently receiving treatment for gunshot injury.
She said the Command has launched a manhunt to arrest and prosecute the fleeing robbers and commissirated with the families and friends of the deceased.
She restated the Command’s unflinching commitment to ensure safety of lives and property within the FCT and availed residents of the Command’s emergency phone numbers to report suspicious movements within their vicinity.
