President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday at the State House ,Abuja ,received the governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodinma behind closed doors.
The meeting is believed to be connected to the political crisis in Owerri on Sunday
The Imo state government had arrested a former governor of the state Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha for trespassing on sealed government property allegedly owned by Okorocha’s wife, Nneoma.
Sunday’s crisis snowballed into humiliation of the former governor and serving senator and arraignment of 14 of his aides with draconian bail condition of payment to the tune of N5M and a surety who must be a traditional ruler or cabinet member.
Given the way most governors behave in firing those who have divergent views ,,it is seemingly difficult for the 14 aides of Senator Okorocha to meet the bail application particularly, the area of a surety.
