New Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa told Senate in Wednesday’s screening that he would as a patriotic citizen, strive to do his utmost best in the drive for recovery of stolen assets for the good of the country.
Bawa stated that he would patner with strategic organisations around the world to achieve repatriation of the nation’s stolen assets.
He said he would represent the EFCC fairly and assured that at the end of his tenure, the anti graft agency would be better than he met it. .
Bawa also said he would give the youths of the country” a better representation in the governance of the country so that more young people will be given more responsibility in the country.,”
The new EFCC Boss who was confirmed after 2 hours of screening will be the first chairman whose appointment is a clear departure from the norm ,as he is said to be a non police officer unlike his predecessors.
He succeeds Ibrahim Magu whose tenure was embroiled in alleged money laundering and insurbodination.
