Buhari bans mining in Zamfara, orders service chiefs to reclaim areas under insurgents control
.President Muhammadu Buhari has declared Zamfara State,a no fly- zone and has banned all forms of mining in the state.
The move is aimed at curbing the spate of Insecurity in the area.
The National Security Adviser,Maj Gen, Babagana Monguno (Rtd), made this known to newsmen on Tuesday after a security meeting with the President at the presidential villa,Abuja.
Monguno said the president also ordered the service chiefs to reclaim all areas under the control of insurgents and other criminal elements.
According to him, citizens can reside wherever they want to reside but warned that anyone who is a criminal should be brought to book.
The President also” warned against ethnic profiling saying we have enough of chaos and warned that any individual that thinks he can cause disunity should have a rethink.”.
