A curious female journalist who had a temporary stay in the town overseeing the Galilee river didn’t waste time in finding out what stock the city was made of to adopt it as a beautiful name for her third girl child.
The ancient city of Magdala, is believed to be the birth place of an ardent follower of Jesus Christ,Mary Magdalene.
Magdala Nwuke was born on a holy but stormy Wednesday, in the gynae- theatre of the Braithwaite Memorial Hospital, Forces Avenue , Port Harcourt.
The heavy downpour heralding the darkened sky and splashing winds concealed the discernment of the birth of a beautiful girl born not with a golden spoon but desires to achieve feats – She is first amongst equals. A trail blazer. A distinguisher.
Magdala is a product of the famous Bereton Montessori Nursery and Primary School,Ernest Ikoli,Old GRA,and stadium road, Port Harcourt
She is also an alumni of Famaks British Schools in Asokoro Abuja and British Nigerian Academy,a co- educational secondary school in,Prince and Princess, FCT, Abuja.
At Bereton,she distinguished in class and general conduct, At Famaks, she was exceptional in behavior and academics , earning laurels as outstanding student .Her dexterity in playing musical instruments.( Violin, Piano), and her ability to excel in Spelling Bee competition severally, made her popularity soar in the school
As the youngest student in her set in British Nigerian Academy ( BNA) , Magdala maintained her feat in education leaving everyone amazed about the intellectual faculty of a little girl- child.
Magdala graduated from the BNA as the best graduating student in 2020 , winning awards in Science,Languages and Trade.
On what career she wants to pursue, Magdala who is already an ICT genius, using her skill in learning sound design,code in programming and digital arts said she aims to study Electronics/ Software Engineering.
Her siblings,Pearlrose and Augusta , Parents Ogbonna and Boma,her numerous aunts,uncles,cousins , friends and teachers who believe in her ability, all wish her more flawless achievements in days ,months and years ahead.
