Igbo leaders under the aegis of Ohanaeze Ndigbo World wide have slammed the Governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodinma for his use of military action against the Eastern Security Network ESN and the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB in Orlu.
In a statement on Monday, the Ohanaeze asked the governor to take full responsibilities of the violence perpetrated in Owerri on Monday morning which they noted was a reprisal against his impulsive actions against the” peaceful ESN in appeasement of his paymasters”.
The statement said,”the pattern and uniformity of the modus operandi of the perpetrators, shows,” there are evidences of a well cordinated seriel attacks on almost police stations in all Igbo states at early hours of each day with the sole targets of amassing amunitions for the possibly Full Scale Banditry in the South East.
The group therefore called for ceasefire and proffered 5 point solution to the problem.
The solution includes an unreserved apology by Uzodinma to Ndigbo for his hard stance on the Orlu crisis, and rescind most of his” unpopular policies”
Another is that South East Governors must establish the South East Security Network without delay.,
That the EndSARS FG Youth Empowerment funds should be shared equitably in all 95 LGAs of the Southeast.
The Ohanaeze also states that Anti- Open grazing laws must be uniformly enacted in all Southeast House of Assembles and signed into law by Governors of the Southeast without further delay adding that Southeast governors should deproscribe the activities of IPOB and persuade the Federal Government to remove the terrorist Tag on them.
It added that the Southeast would gradually become another Northeast if the zones political leaders, opinion and religious leaders kept quiet
