A scholar and former envoy to the Philippines and Algeria,,Dr Nnamdi Onochie, has presented a roadmap aimed to re- engineer the country to the path of peace, progress and prosperity.
Speaking with newsmen on Sunday in Abuja, Onochie ,an indigene of Delta State urged the political class to come up with a plan that unify the country describing the ongoing developments in the country as disturbing.
He however, said the situation could still be salvaged with a sense of mission and commitment by leaders.
In view of this, he said he would offer himself for the highest political office since he had what it takes to make Nigeria great again.
Onochie who is a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) said he is aware of the problems of the people which he listed as including electricity, and increased economic well being of the people, and assured that his solemn commitment was to ensure economic prosperity and progress of the country.
He frowned upon the ongoing terrorism, banditry, killing of service men, police officers, burning of police stations and judiciary facilities and jail break saying those are condemnable acts that have brought Nigeria to a new low.
He urged political parties, especially the two dominant parties, the APC and the PDP to zone the Presidency to the South arguing that by so doing, there would be a sense of inclusion and participation by every zone in Nigeria.
