Checked – in passengers on Dana flight to Lagos at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja , on Monday evening,made way to the Dana Check- in counter and held the staff hostage.over delay of their flight.
They told the airline staff that since their own flight was delayed for hours without information, they would make sure that no Dana flight left for any other destination.
One of the aggrieved passengers who gave his name as Sampson, said their flight was scheduled for 12 noon but they had to wait for hours without any information about the rescheduled flight time from the airline.
” Animals are not treated the way ,why should they treat us like this. No information to know what was causing the delay.This is too bad.
A staff of the Airport Authority who pleaded unnamed told current matters that the cause of the delay might not be too far from the flight’s inability to refuel.
” He said” What does it cost the Dana Airline to apologize to their passengers? Even If the delay is just one hour, passengers have the right to know what is happening. I believe the cause of the delay is aviation fuel. But Is that a problem to hide from the passengers? They didn’t do well by not informing the passengers who waited for more than 5 hours for information on the flight.”
It took some senior staff of the airline and other aviation personnel to resolve the conflict.
