The Southwest PDP congress which held on Monday evening in Osogbo, capital of Osun State was marred by violence as former governor of Ekiti State,Ayodele Fayose was whisked away from the venue by security operatives.
The incident reportedly occurred about 7 : pm when hoodlums in an attempt to invade the premises and disrupt the exercise advanced towards the gate of ( WOCDIF) Event Centre where the event was taking place.
The invasion was repelled by the swift response from the Osun State Police Commissioner, Olawale Olokode and other officers who shot sporadically to the air to scare away the hoodlums
