Singer Ibitoru Mary Green AKA Lady IB has attributed her current state of wellness to the support given to her by the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.
Speaking to newsmen in Port Harcourt on Tuesday,Lady IB who was overjoyed by the overwhelming support she received in overcoming her health challenges thanked God for his grace and Amaechi for his benevolence all through the period of her ill health.
IB said she had multiple surgeries in Nigeria and in the United States, and that Amaechi helped her through all the way.
” I had surgery in Nigeria,I had two surgeries in the United States and 5 surgeries on my head and the Minister had been a great support to me. I’m so grateful to my leader,Iam so grateful.
On whether she was still engaged in performing music,, IB replied in the affirmative ‘ Oh yes, that’s what I do for a living.Its what gives me jobs,shows everywhere. That’s what I do.Anything APC is doing,they do call me,Iam so grateful to the party.
IB said Amaechi ‘s government in Rivers State did well promoting artists without making noise about it
” He is not the type that comes out to say I gave you N100 million. He empowered people in a quiet way.and Iam proud of him doing that. He is not a noise maker.
” He does a lot for people even the opposition,he helps them.He does not mention it unless you will come out and say it.
IB who described the APC family for their help when she needed it most said she would continue to identify with the family to achieve set goals.
According to her, unity was key in driving the opposition aground adding that her utmost wish for the party would be to unite
“;If we are disunited,we won’t move anywhere,I call on everyone let us come together and take over Government House , Enough is Enough.
” There is hunger in the Land. There is kidnapping and killings,so we need to take over in 2023.
,” With unity,with love and by the grace of God,we will take over Government House ” She said
She thanked other members of the Rivers APC family including Tonye Princewill,Dakuku Peterside who showered her with love and care during her period of challenge.
