Damasak, the headquarters of Mobbar Local Government Area of Borno State has been retaken by suspected Boko Haram terrorists.
The armed insurgents on Tuesday evening,razed down Police stations,schools, residential buildings and hoisted flags in central areas of the town.
A source said the wreckage by the insurgents went unchallenged with many feared dead..
Damasak is a border town linking Borno State with Niger Republic and a hub of tension.
The head town is one of the killing fields of terrorised Borno.
Just a couple of days ago,four persons were gruesomely killed with United Nations Aids facilties razed and vehicles carted away by the insurgents.
