Suspected bandits in Saturday killed a police orderly attached to Mr Shoban Tikari, Chairman of Takum local government council of Taraba State.
The deceased policeman was of the 67 Mobile Police Squadron located in Takum.
Tikari who confirmed the attack said the bandits in their numbers, launched an attack on his convoy while on his way to Takum killing the policeman.
He called on the Federal Government to deploy more security operatives to the area which has witnessed recurring banditry in recent times.
The bandits reportedly opened fire on the chairman’s, vehicle in Dogo- Gawa village in Takum.
