An elated Ziyech told reporters” You always have to have the feeling before the game that you want to score , It was a good delivery and I put it in easy” he said.
Chelsea will face the winner of Sunday’s semi- final match Leicester City or Southampton in the final scheduled for May 15.
The match which was played at an empty Wembley Stadium due to Covid restrictions, saw Chelsea’s Manager, Thomas Tuchel focussed his attention on outsmarting Pep Guardiola’s game plan with counter attacks down the wings resulting in the breakthrough.
The loss of midfielder, Kevin de Bruyne early in the second half with an ankle injury was a great set back for City who are tipped to win the Premier league Cup Final against Tottenham Hotspur next Sunday.
