Nurses under the aegis of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives NANNM, Kaduna State chapter on Thursday staged a peaceful protest at the state Ministry of Health over the abduction of two female nurses by suspected bandits.
The aggrieved workers said the incident would have been avoided if most of the health facilities across the state are secured.
The Chairman of the association, Mr Isiaku Yakubu said most of the facilties lacked proper fencing making members vulnerable to attacks.
Yakubu disclosed that five members of NANNM have been kidnapped while over 100 were affected by covid-19 pandemic in the state.
The Chairman who said that the association was not ready to pay any ransom, urged government to secure their release or face withdrawal of their services.
