The Kwara Police Command has arrested a man, Kehinde John Moses, with a bag containing the head and hand of a little boy.
Moses 24, was arrested along Ajase- Ipo road during a police search.
In a statement on Monday in Ilorin, the state capital, the Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Bagega said the suspect was arrested by a team of “Operation Harmony” in a commercial bus during a search.
Accordiing to him, while the search of the bag was going on,one man suspected to be the patner of the bearer of the bag took to his heels while Moses held.
Bagega said a freshly severed head and hands of a boy were discovered in the bag adding that during the interrogation, the suspect confessed to have killed the victim, identified as Mohammed,in Ajase Ipo with his fleeing patner for ritual purposes.
The Police Commissioner disclosed that he has directed the State Criminal Investigation Department to thoroughly investigate the case and apprehend anyone connected to the dastardly act.
He said the suspect had taken a team of investigators to where the body was dumped .
Bagega said Investigation was ongoing and the suspects would be charged to court as soon Investigation was completed.
